I’m excited to share that my exhibition Reclaimed Canvases is now showing at Western Sky Books and Art Gallery in Port Coquitlam. The show will be up until mid-November, offering visitors the chance to explore a body of work that transforms overlooked and discarded materials into vibrant paintings.

The series grew out of a desire to find beauty and meaning in everyday objects. Old cardboard, manuals, and other recycled surfaces became my canvases—materials that already carried a history of use before I reworked them into something new. Each piece reflects themes of resilience, transformation, and the layered experiences we live with, reminding us that value can be found in unexpected places.

Western Sky Books is a community hub for readers and art lovers alike, and I couldn’t think of a better setting for this show. If you’re stopping by to browse their shelves of new and used books, I invite you to take some time with the paintings as well.

Reclaimed Canvases runs until mid-November. I hope you’ll visit, experience the work in person, and maybe even see something familiar in a new light.
